The first item on the menu above proceeds directly to the indexing operation.
The thumbnail below leads to a new page describing that screen.
The other three items on this screen are data items. The first is the number of degrees that the spindle will move for each indexing step. The second specifies the total number of steps desired. The third specifies the rotation direction of the input shaft of the dividing head. When the "Deg. per Move:" item is selected, a data editing screen is presented allowing the operator to enter the desired number of degrees of spindle motion for each move. No image of that screen is presented here but an example data editing screen is given elsewhere in the menu hierarchy. When the "Indexing Steps" item is selected, a data editing screen is presented allowing that value to be edited or entered. When the "Direction:" item is selected, the direction indicator cycles among the valid values: CW and CCW. |
